A Celebration of Illumination
In 2020 we worked with Redcar & Cleveland Borough Council to create a lockdown friendly Christmas Light Switch on event for local communities and so The Great Doorstep Switch on was born!
The event included a mass online switch on, projects and activities for families to make and watch at home and the commissioning of ‘Moths at Work’ a socially distanced street theatre performance by Pif-Paf Theatre.
A giant lightbulb and its quirky moth caretakers visited neighbourhoods in Redcar, Guisborough and Brotton, pedalling around the streets collecting light to help power the switch on of the Borough’s festive lights!
